Our Story

A Taste of Home

Authentic Biltong started with a simple craving — the biltong of our childhood in South Africa. The kind you can't find on a supermarket shelf: thick-cut, deeply seasoned, dried low and slow until it's tender with just the right chew.

So we started making it ourselves, exactly the way it's been made for generations. Every batch is marinated in traditional spices, hung to air-dry, and hand-cut — never cooked, never rushed, never loaded with sugar and preservatives like mass-market jerky.

  • Air-dried low and slow, the traditional South African way
  • Pasture-raised, grass-fed beef
  • No artificial preservatives, nitrates, or nitrites
  • Certified kosher and halal

Know the Difference

Biltong Is Not Jerky

They might look similar in the bag, but that's where it ends. Here's what sets real South African biltong apart from ordinary beef jerky.

FAQ

Questions, Answered

What exactly is biltong?

Biltong is South Africa's traditional dried beef. Premium cuts are marinated in vinegar and spices, then hung to air-dry slowly over several days. The result is tender, deeply savory beef with a rich flavor you won't find in ordinary dried snacks.

How is biltong different from beef jerky?

Three big differences: biltong is air-dried rather than cooked with heat, it's cut much thicker, and it's cured with vinegar and spices instead of sugar-heavy marinades. That means a softer texture, a richer beef flavor, and none of the sweetness or preservatives typical of jerky.

Do you ship?

Yes — our biltong ships anywhere in the US via UPS or FedEx, with shipping charged at checkout. Our fresh meat boards are local delivery only for now, so they arrive at your table at their best.

Is your biltong kosher and halal?

Yes. Our biltong is certified kosher (KCL, Glatt) and halal (Etimad), so everyone at the table can enjoy it.

How long does biltong stay fresh?

Sealed bags stay fresh for months kept in a cool, dry place. Once opened, it's best enjoyed within a few days — though around here, it rarely lasts that long.

How do I pay for my order?

Start your order on WhatsApp and we'll send you a secure card-payment link to complete checkout. Fast, safe, and confirmed right away.
